CHARLIE ORIAIN KEEPS UP HIS MOMENTUM WITH 'WISH I COULD'
ARTIST and songwriter originally from the Isle of Wight, Charlie Oriain now based in London has begun releasing his new single EP, ‘Wish I Could’.
For the record, from leaving school to work on a building site, and later discovering his love for writing honest, introspective lyrics, Charlie announced himself in 2021 with a viral duet, “Meant To Be”.
This led onto Charlie releasing his debut EP Homesick that covered the mix of emotions that come with moving away from home, the excitement of new found freedom, the anxieties of growing older and loss for those you leave behind.
Now keeping up the momentum, “Wish I Could” was released last April 21st.
Speaking on the song, Charlie says:
“Wish I Could is about wanting to promise somebody the world, knowing that they deserve better than you can give. It’s an admission of guilt for wasting their time but also pays testament to the importance they have in your life. This song says a lot of the things that I’ve been too afraid to say in person and acts as a draft letter to the one I’m leaving behind.”.
