SAMSUNG REIMAGINE FOLDABLE EXPERIENCE FOR MALAYSIANS
The first partners in the initiative brought together AmBank, Family Mart, Maxis, Pay4U, and ZUS Coffee at a dinner event in commemorating the month of Hari Raya Aidilfitri held at St Regis Hotel recently.
The collaboration leveraged Samsung and Android platform’s capabilities to enrich user experiences on their local apps.
During the recent partner sharing session, themed, ‘Reimagining Foldables for Malaysians’, they showcased their app optimisation through the flexible use of screen expansions and multi-angle fold usages.
“At Samsung, we are passionate about making mobile innovation relevant to consumers. In our bid to mainstream foldable smartphones, we are collaborating with homegrown brands to create unique, local Galaxy Z experiences on their apps that Malaysians use on a daily basis, and bring it closer to their hearts. We invite more local organisations to be a part of this industry collaboration and deliver better experiences to their customers,” said Luke Au, Head of Product Marketing, Mobile eXperience, Samsung Malaysia at the 'Riang Ria Bersama Samsung'.
Also present at the event is the President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics, Denny Kim and his Chief Marketing Officer, Elain Soh.
In the coming months, Samsung will be onboarding more partners, including Gigi Coffee, Golden Screen Cinemas, TGV Cinemas, and Zapp of which they too were introduced on stage.
Additionally, Samsung aims to collaborate with local universities on a hackathon, where students will pitch foldable app ideas.
"This is in line with its ESG mission to empower young Malaysian talent and incentivise them to make waves in the tech space," added Luke Au.
Later, in the evening, all invited guest and media were treated to dinner and entertained by malay traditional dancers and songs related to Hari Raya plus lucky draw giveaways.
