'SUPALAPA FESTIVAL' : BLENDING HOT MUSIC TO COOL BREEZE AMIDST AWANA GENTING 2-3 MARCH!

MUSIC party goers are in for a fantastic two nights fun with over 40 international artists alongside local stars  from various music genres when SUPALAPA Festival kicks off at Resorts World Awana Genting, coming March 2nd to 3rd 2024.

Indeed, festival-goers will be treated to an event that will raise the bar in the festivals scene for the year, offering an exclusive experience set on the lush green oasis surrounded by 130 million old rainforest and lakes.

“During the festival , visitors will be able to enjoy three different music genres namely EDM, Pop and  K POP. All these genres will be performed on their respective stages which are “Live Stage”, “EDM Stage” and “Pool Stage”,” said the Organizing Chairman of Maestro Production And Prodigy 1 Nation, Parthiban Murugaiya at a press conference announcing the “SUPALAPA” Festival, held at Ayu Awana Genting yesterday morning, 23 January 2024.

With him at the press conference are Spencer Lee, Senior Vice President Sales, Marketing & MICE of Resorts World Genting; Addam Maleq, Festival Director and  Naveen Rao, Director of Prodigy1Nation, as well as local artists namely Kidd Santhe; group girls COEX,  DJ Mister Ariffin and trio singers Syameer Azmi, Qif and Muaz.

Continuing further, Parthiban hopes that this first Supalapa Festival will be a much-awaited annual event as it can fulfil the expectations of festival-goers in various aspects on top of music whilst help to promote and shout out Malaysia's name to foreign tourists as it will become an entertainment hub of international standards.

“And of course through the Supalapa Festival which features international musicians, the event will also become the best platform for local musicians to share the stage and showcase their talents with their international counterparts. We also want Supalapa to be a global brand for music festivals around the world,” Parthiban explained.

Tiësto, The Kid Laroi, EAJ, Somi, XG, Ali Gatie, Armani White, Tones and I, Ian Asher, Keemokazi, Paul Van Dyk, Rave Republic, and Ckay, are among the 40 international artists  that will be setting the Supalapa Festival stage on fire throughout the two days.

Also joining the league are local powerhouses Yuna, Saixse , Kidd Santhe, Talitha, Claudia, Belle Sisoski,Jovynn, Forceparkbois & DJ Ziqq, Axel Groove who will also add to the excitement. 

Furthermore, the event is not merely a musical event, but about 40,000 spectators cum visitors  targeted during the two day event will also get to experience something unique which has never been offered by any other local entertainment gigs.

 

“Supalapa will be introducing the RFID payment system and visitors will be able to enjoy other amazing attractions at the “Wrestling Ring”, “Bali Swing”, “Carnival Games” and “Silent Cinema.”

‘Maybe next time we will call it ‘Genting Swing,” added Addam Maleq considering Supalapa Festival as the benchmark of Malaysian festival and hoping it will be a much-awaited annual event as it can fulfil the expectations of festival-goers in various aspects on top of music.

 

Continuing further, Parthiban is confident that Supalapa Festival will also help promote and shout out Malaysia's name to foreign tourists as it will become an entertainment hub of international standards.
